From the Director:  I send this edition of our PCL campaign with great enthusiam!  I celebrate God's grace and mercy in sending the Department of Catechetical Services a full and talented staff to serve the Diocese of Dallas!
This is also the beginning of the new catechetical year, "Living as Missionary Disciples".  This campaign will include information regarding gatherings for parish leaders and resources that you will hopefully find helpful to your ministry.

Welcome Joe Fredrickson to Catechetical Services, Diocese of Dallas!
Joe is serving as Associate Director for Parish Outreah and Evangelization.  He is a recent graduate from the University of Notre Dame with parish ministry experience.  Joe will initially begin his ministry exploring current parish practices in the formation of parents and godparents for the Sacrament of Baptism (infant). This is a new ministry certificate program co-sponsored by the Diocese of Dallas and the University of Dallas.  This formation program is intended for all parish catechists of adults and children and parish catechetical leaders.  
There are courses in all around the Diocese being offerd in the Continuing Catechetical Formation program.  Please view the link below and check back frequently for updates.  Take this opportunity to prepare for your ministry!

Please join us from October 19-21st for the 11th Annual Dallas Ministry Conference at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas!  Early Registration closes on October 9th.  As always, this is the best opportunity for faith formation for all parishioners in our Diocese for the year.

Sadlier Religion is offering free downloadable resources in English and Spanish for Catechetical Sunday 2017.  Additionally, they are offering an outline for a Catechist Workshop.  If you are interesting in inviting one of us to facilitate something like that for you (in English or Spanish), don't hesitate to ask.
