Office of Safety and Security
The Catholic Diocese of Dallas has created the Office of Safety and Security to serve as a guide and resource to the Diocese, Parishes, Schools and other Diocesan entities regarding security issues, emergencies and crisis management. This office assesses and develops strategies and policies to address Diocesan properties for overall risk issues - ranging from physical security concerns, criminal acts to natural disasters. Furthermore, this office serves as an administrative resource for the Bishop and his senior staff for circumstances involving allegations of misconduct or in matters necessitating an inquiry.
The overall goal of the Office of Security and Safety is to serve in providing a safe and secure environment for the faithful to worship and volunteer, for all employees to provide their skills and abilities in service and for our clergy to go about ministering to the many mitigating risk, ensuring proper compliance with Safe Environment policies and developing appropriate safety/ security measures and protocols.
