Twenty eight years ago, (1983) Worldwide Marriage Encounter began encouraging a celebration of marriage on the second Sunday of February.
It was designated as a day to honor the husband and wife as the head of the family, the basic unit of society.
National Marriage Week will be observed during the week of February 7-14, 2016 and World Marriage Day is February 14, 2016, Valentine’s Day. This provides an opportunity to celebrate the gift and blessing of marriage and to affirm and support engaged and married couples.
The websites below provide information and resources on promoting, strengthening and defending the gift of marriage as a lifelong union between man and woman.
