Annual ROE Memorial Mass and March for Life
On January 18, North Texas will mark the 47th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's tragic Roe v. Wade decision making abortion available on demand in America and leading to the death of more than 60 million unborn children.
On January 18, North Texas will mark the 47th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's tragic Roe v. Wade decision making abortion available on demand in America and leading to the death of more than 60 million unborn children.
The Catholic Pro-Life Committee has planned the following events:
8:00 a.m. Roe Memorial Rosaries at Southwestern abortion facility, 8616 Greenville Ave, and Planned Parenthood, 7989 West Virginia Dr, Dallas
8:30 a.m. Youth for Life Rally followed by Mass (for high school students) at St. Jude Chapel, 1521 Main St, Dallas, 75201. Rally presentations are appropriate for anyone 13 or older. Attendance fee is $10 per person discounted family/group of 5 rate for $40, including lunch for all registrants. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or safe-environment cleared chaperone. Register now at prolifedallas.org/yflrally.
10:00 a.m. Roe Memorial Mass at Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, 2215 Ross Avenue, Dallas, celebrated by Cistercian Abbot Peter Verhalen (Procession of Roses begin at 9:45 a.m.)
12:30 p.m. North Texas March for Life from Cathedral to rally outside the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse, housing the district court where the Roe v. Wade case was first filed in 1970, featuring testimony of abortion survivor Claire Culwell.
