Diocese of Dallas Honduras Medical Mission
Our Medical Mission is able to return to our Sister Diocese of Trujillo, Honduras, scheduled for March 25 thru 31, 2023.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, our Medical Mission is able to return to our Sister Diocese of Trujillo, Honduras, scheduled for March 25 thru 31, 2023. If you are a physician, physician assistant, nurse, pharmacist, Spanish translator, or just a compassionate lay volunteer, please consider joining our Medical Mission team. We will be serving the community of Bonito Oriental, Honduras, located on the northern coast of Honduras. You will be meeting the wonderful people that live in the mountain communities, many who have never been to a doctor. We once had a man over a century old who wanted to see the doctor because he couldn’t walk up the mountain like he could when he was younger.
We will depart from DFW to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on Saturday morning March 25, set up the clinic on Sunday, and start seeing patients on Monday morning through Thursday afternoon. On Friday we will return to Dallas. A donation of $1,900 is requested per missionary. We are also asking those that will not be able to travel on the mission to donate toward missionary scholarships and medical supplies.
Please get in touch with Deacon Charlie Stump, Director of Catholic Social Ministry, for more information. or call 214-379-2882.
