Bishop Kevin J. Farrell offers congratulations and thoughts regarding the appointment of Bishop Kevin Vann to lead Diocese of Orange

I offer my heartfelt support and congratulations to my good friend, Bishop Kevin Vann, on his appointment as the new bishop of the Diocese of Orange in California.  I greatly appreciate the collaboration and friendship I have enjoyed with Bishop Vann as we have worked to lead the Catholic communities in our adjoining dioceses in North Texas.  I admire his leadership and pastoral outreach and know that he will be a tremendous bishop for the people in Orange County.  I wish him the very best and pray for his success and happiness in this new chapter of his life and ministry.
