The Family Life Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, with Claudio Mora serving as Family Life Ministries coordinator, offers a resource to parishes and deaneries and other institutions within the Diocese on the pastoral care of the family. The mission of the ministry is to assist the parish leaders in the development of comprehensive programs with and for families adapted to the needs of each individual parish community.
The Diocese of Dallas Family Life Ministry exists to encourage and empower parishes to minister to the different kinds of families that are present today in our communities by offering education, resources and support to families in all aspects of their life.
The Family Life Ministry office can also provide information and referral on family services such as counseling on addictions, family violence and other social services. The new department will offer resources for:
- Marriage Enrichment Programs, Parenting Programs
- Grief Ministry, Healing from loss, divorced, separated, end of life issues, domestic violence, addictions, Moms and dads groups, single mothers, widowers.
- Older Adult Ministry (seniors)
- The Good News for Families: A weekly question/sentence for families to reflect on and discuss during dinner or during prayer time together based on the Sunday Gospel. People can leave comments on our web page.
