Notice of Death of Reverend Bede Lackner, O.Cist

It is our sad duty to announce the death of Reverend Bede Lackner, O.Cist. who passed away on November 11, 2020 at Irving Baylor Hospital. You can learn more about Fr. Bede by reading his obituary here.

On Friday, November 13, at 7:30pm there will be a rosary with testimonials in the abbey church. On Saturday, November 14, at 10:00am we will celebrate his funeral. Both services are open to the public, but with limited capacity on account of the pandemic. Both ceremonies will also be livestreamed on our CistercianDallas YouTube channel.

Please keep Father Lackner and the Cistercian community in your prayers.

Eternal rest grant unto Father Lackner and may the perpetual light shine upon him. May he and all the faithful departed rest in peace.  Amen.
