Memorial Mass for Father John J. (Jack) Heaney, S.J. to be held at St. Rita on January 30th
Father Heaney served in Dallas and the surrounding area for over 33 years, principally at Jesuit College Preparatory School, as Pastor of St. Rita Parish and as Retreat Director at Montserrat Retreat Center. Father Heaney died on January 8th in Grand Coteau, Louisiana and will be buried there on January 16th.
Please keep in your thoughts and prayers Father John J. (Jack) Heaney, S.J., who died on January 8, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Pavilion in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. He was 92. Father Heaney served in Dallas and the surrounding area for over 33 years, principally at Jesuit College Preparatory School, as Pastor of St. Rita Parish and as Retreat Director at Montserrat Retreat House. In 2004 he returned to St. Rita Parish and remained there until 2010.
The Visitation (10:00 a.m.) and Funeral Mass (11:00 a.m.) will take place at St. Charles College Chapel, Grand Coteau, Louisiana on January 16, 2016. Father Heaney will be buried at the Jesuit Cemetery, St. Charles College, following the Funeral Mass.
A Memorial Mass for Father Heaney will be held at St. Rita Church, 12521 Inwood Road, Dallas 75244, on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
