Students and families throughout the Diocese of Dallas are celebrating National Catholic Schools Week, January 25 – January 31. The first Catholic school opened its doors in the Diocese of Dallas in 1874. Today, there are 38 schools and an enrollment of nearly 15,000 students in the local Catholic school system, led by Superintendent Sister Gloria Cain, SSND.
There are a variety of events at all campuses in the diocese to allow students the opportunity to reflect and have fun while celebrating their Catholic school education. Many of these events involve an aspect of community service for the students and learning more about the needs of the people and environment in their local area and around the world.
