303. Old Testament The Old Testament presents an inspired series of literary works ranging from history to prophecy. The books of the Old Testament lead us through the story of the Hebrew people, their covenantal relationship with God, and the story of their journey leading up to the promised Messiah.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  •  Understand how God reveals Himself through the Word, which lives and is active in the   lives of God’s chosen people
  •  Understand what is meant by Divine Revelation
  •  Explain the Old Testament themes of covenant and freedom
  •  Identify major figures and events in Hebrew Scripture
  •  Recognize the original context and the literary genres of Biblical writings
  •  Describe the process of the formation and selection of the Old Testament Scriptures

Please bring a Bible and note taking materials Please follow the one way parking lot up and around the front of the church and back down the hill to park on the northeast corner (lower level) of the building. Follow the sidewalk to the left and the doors directly into the classroom will unlock at 6:00 pm.
