609 Acts of the Apostles The Second volume of Luke’s gospel, the Acts of the Apostles, describes how the Salvation promised to Israel in the Old Testament and accomplished by Jesus has, now, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit been extended to the gentiles. Acts presents a faith experience rooted in the History of Israel and spread to Christian communities in the early Church through the Ministry of Jesus Christ first followers from the resurrection of Christ to Paul’s first Roman imprisonment.
