303. The Old Testament presents an inspired series of literary works ranging from history to prophecy. The books of the Old Testament lead us through the story of the Hebrew people, their covenantal relationship with God, and the story of their journey leading up to the promised Messiah. 


At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how God reveals Himself through the Word, which lives and is active in the lives of God’s chosen people
  • Understand what is meant by Divine Revelation
  • Explain the Old Testament themes of covenant and freedom
  • Identify major figures and events in Hebrew Scripture
  • Recognize the original context and the literary genres of Biblical writings
  • Describe the process of the formation and selection of the Old Testament Scriptures

Must attend the four sessions to receive credit.
