Faith Resources for use during COVID-19 Outbreak
Publish Date: March 21, 2020
With all public Masses in the Diocese of Dallas cancelled through at least March 30th due to the coronavirus, diocesan ministries have developed a spiritual resources page to assist Catholics during this time. From televised and live streamed Masses, Stations of the Cross and other videos on demand, a wide variety of resources for use during this time of quarantine and social distancing can be found at www.cathdal.org/COVID19-resources.
The Diocese is happy to announce that in addition to the live streamed Masses found on the website, the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist in Spanish with Father Jesus Belmontes will be televised on local channel Univision 23 at 10 a.m. March 22, 2020. Bishop Edward Burns will celebrate the Mass in English that will be live streamed at 9 a.m. Sunday.
According to Bishop Burns, "We are grateful to Univision 23 for generously providing this important community service to the people in the Diocese of Dallas during this difficult time. I hope that providing a local Sunday Mass online along with other resources for prayer and reflection can bring at least some spiritual comfort to our Catholic faithful and assist them in practicing their faith as they stay safe at home."
