The Director of Communications is responsible for effectively and efficiently telling the story of John Paul II High School (JPII). Working closely with JPII leadership, and supporting the new Advancement Team, this individual will play a key role in the growth of enrollment and fundraising. Our Director of Communications will be experienced in the art and science of digital marketing communications, including video content creation and analysis, while possessing strong written communications and project management skills. This position requires strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, as well as high octane energy. A successful candidate will have a heart for the mission of JPII and an experienced business mindset.

-Proven work experience as a digital marketing/communications director.
-Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns.
-Strong understanding of how all current digital marketing channels function.
-Solid knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices.
-Hands on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and CRM software.
-Degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field.

Reporting to the President’s Office and the Advancement Office, we will look to the Director of Communications to:
-Work with JPII leadership to develop effective campaigns to create and maintain high levels of stakeholder engagement and action.
-Lead marketing communication strategy, with an emphasis on digital marketing communications.
-Manage all digital marketing channels (e.g. website, blogs, emails and social media) to maximize impact and ensure brand consistency.
-Compile and manage a content calendar that coordinates messaging across all major channels.
-Develop, manage, and update website content, tracking SEO and Google Analytics.
-Publish periodic digital dashboard to track progress across JPII’s digital ecosystem, including measurement of ROI and KPIs.
-Update/Manage brand standards and work with campus staff, athletics, fine arts, clubs, and parent groups to ensure consistency in communication pieces that represent the school.
-Collaborate with the Sports Information Director to serve as an information resource for administration, faculty, staff, and students.
-Foster timeline development and monitor progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
-Develop, write, edit or provide approvals for JPII materials including fact sheets, annual reports, infographics, newsletters, email campaign presentations, speeches, talking points, blog posts, website copy, etc.
-Work with JPII leadership to develop and direct the creative marketing copywriting, designing, media purchasing, and project management for advertising and fundraising campaigns.
-Develop and coordinate multimedia packages – letters, brochures, video, displays – for particular assignments.
-Research, write, edit, design, and project manage print and electronic communications as required.
-Flexibility to perform tasks assigned outside of job description.
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the policies of the Diocese of Dallas and John Paul II High School.
