Job Description

St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy in Dallas, Texas, specializes in providing prescription medication, free of charge, to patients who do not have health insurance. We know that better health means fewer sick days: so people can keep working and not risk losing their job. We know it means being able to pay rent and afford groceries each month. It means fewer trips to the emergency room and a longer, happier life!

We are seeking a strong analytical candidate who has back office operations experience as our Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of all business and administrative operations for the charitable pharmacy, including operating budgeting, human resources support, patient care delivery forecasting, business and operational analytics and ensuring that appropriate facilities and resources are available to support anticipated patient care delivery needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partners with key stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Audit/Compliance) to establish, maintain, monitor, and improve financially sound and compliant business practices
• Develops and evaluates business plans for existing and new programs
• Collaborates with pharmacy leadership to develop and implement strategic plan, projects, and continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to optimize the delivery of pharmacy services
• Working with Pharmacist in Charge, develops annual budget and monitors expenses against budget
• Provides regular weekly/monthly reporting, creates/sends regular reporting detailing prescription services to all service areas and other ad hoc reporting as requested.
• Acts as subject matter expert on pharmacy system (PioneerRX) to fully utilize system to be data collection vehicle to streamline processes and to be able to create reports necessary for trend analyses, forecasting, productivity projections, financials reporting, and overall pharmacy performance
• Performs financial monthly close processes
• Monitors annual goals and forecasts plan to budget
• Manages pharmacy vendors and contracts
• Oversees Inventory and maintains/provides monthly inventory numbers for general ledger
• Processes invoices for approval/pay

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong business acumen and communication skills
• Strong financial expertise and experience working with inventory
• Experience with annual planning processes and producing budgets
• Ability to effectively plan and execute projects with strong project management skills
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices, regulations, and processes
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (particularly with Excel), Accounting (QuickBooks preferred) and pharmacy systems (PioneerRX preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:
• A passion for the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and able to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting
• Bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience required; MBA or Master's degree in a related field desired
• Experience with a pharmacy system a plus
• Three or more years of operational leadership, preferably in a nonprofit organization
• Dallas-based onsite employment
