Job Description

St. Michael the Archangel in Garland TX is looking for a motivated candidate that is passionate about the Catholic faith and is wanting to start or continue their career in Youth Ministry. This is a part time Youth Ministry Assistant Position that does require working evening hours during the school year. You will be assisting in preparing teens for the sacrament of Confirmation as well as helping with High School Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, and the growth of these programs. Responsibilities
• Perform clerical duties such as answering the phone, maintain student files, and input data into
parish data system
• Assist parents with Confirmation Registration process and collect registration fee’s
• Assist with Confirmation prep class’s
• Assist in retreat planning and implementation
• Assist with Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry recruitment
• Assist with Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry programs
• Perform other duties as needed to support of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry programs

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with PDS is preferred but not required
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a preferred but not required
• 2 years’ experience in ministry or office support position

Compensation
• $20-25/hour DOE
• 100% onsite 20-25 hours a week
• Schedule during school year will require working Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30-8:30PM
