Job Description

Bishop Dunne Catholic School, located in Oak Cliff, is searching for an experienced professional with financial experience and training, preferably with a school or nonprofit. The CFO is a member of the Leadership Team and serves as the advisor on business and financial matters to the president. The CFO is responsible for the development and recommendation of business and financial services to the board; for safeguarding the school’s assets through the establishment and administration of budgetary and other internal controls; and for the performance of analytical analysis on specific operational issues and revisions to the administrative and business systems of the school. The CFO also acts in a fiduciary capacity as treasurer for operating cash flow, the school’s endowment fund and serves as liaison to the Board of Directors and its committees on business-related operations. Additionally, the CFO is responsible for the overall supervision of business office employees and oversees the human resources, maintenance, facilities, food service, and security departments. The CFO reports directly to the president and is responsive to inquiries from other members of the administration.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business required
• 5 years of experience in finance, accounting or management-related capacity
• 5+ years of managerial experience with progressive experience in operational/administrative management
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Detail-oriented
• Strategic thinker
