John Paul II High School (JPII), an increasingly multicultural, next-generation Catholic college preparatory high school, is serving families in the greater Collin County area. Does your background include some of these educational and certification achievements?
-Master’s Degree in Theological Studies, Theology, or Catechetical Ministry.
-Active member of a Catholic parish in the DFW metroplex.
-Experience in Campus Ministry at a high school level preferred.
What other special knowledge and skills might you bring to our students and community?
-Knowledge of the comprehensive Catholic beliefs and goals.
-Ability to model Gospel values in word and action.
-Knowledge in short and long term strategic planning. Ability to identify and communicate the vision for the ministry of JPII.
-Ability to interact with faculty and staff using a team-centered, collaborative approach.
-Ability to organize meaningful and engaging Campus Ministry events for students, staff, and community.
-Superior organizational, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
-Passion and strong ability for working with a diverse group of students.

Reporting to the Principal, we will look to the Director of Campus Ministry and Catholic Identity to:
-Be a positive and inspirational role model for all students and staff. Model the 5 Rs expected at JPII (Respect, Responsibility, Role Model, Reverence, and Resilience).
-Establish and maintain open and frequent communication and a professional relationship with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
-Serve with an innovative approach as supervisor for all ministry areas within the campus including community service projects, the northern parish initiative, school retreats, and mission trips.
-Assist the President/Principal/LeadershipTeam in short and long term strategic
planning for the school with a strong focus on the vision for the ministry of JPII and faith formation.
-Work with all departments at JPII, meeting frequently with Theology, Admissions, and Counseling departments.
-Be an active member of the JPII Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
-Inspire our young adults to connect through ministry by forming strong connections with the students of JPII and developing a variety of faith formation opportunities.
-Plan events, activities, and professional development sessions to develop faith formation of the JPII faculty and staff.
-Serve as a resource to students, parents, and faculty, providing them with ideas and support as they work to strengthen their faith and walk in the footsteps of Pope John Paul II.
-Evangelize Catholic Education at JPII and work with leadership to increase student enrollment and visibility of the school.
-Work with the northern parishes to establish the new regional Catholic school in Collin County.
-Manage the Campus Ministry budget and personnel.
-Assume responsibility for school programs/initiatives. Sponsor activities and participate in other duties as assigned by the President and/or Principal of the school.
-Maintain a current program of professional growth by keeping abreast of research studies in the field of Ministry, participating in workshops, seminars, university visits, professional organizations and/or advanced coursework at colleges or universities.
-Attend all professional meetings as required and implement/follow school policies and procedures.
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the policies of the Diocese of Dallas and John Paul II High School.
