Adult Faith Formation Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Pastoral Care Overtime eligible: No
Type: Exempt Compensation: Salaried

Position Objectives:
• Develop and implement a program in compliance with Diocese Standards to provide ongoing formation for catechists
• Support the spiritual formation of the parish community as a whole
• Support and lead the all volunteers as they execute leadership roles in formation programs
• Reflective of the USCCB “Our Hearts were Burning Inside Us” create and implement adult formation for parish members

Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain and oversee all activity related to CRHP
 Schedule CRHP weekends
 Develop awareness of CRHP
 Support CRHP leadership
 Maintain budget
 Order and maintain supplies
 Coordinate CRHP activities within the parish and among staff members
 Other duties as needed within the CRHP process

Pre-Cana and Convalidation
 Work in collaboration with the Pastor to guide couples through the pre-cana process
 Initiate the FOCCUS Inventory
 Initiate the Couple-to-Couple program matching the engaged couple with a currently trained sponsor couple
 Assign a wedding coordinator if the marriage is to be held here at Our Lady of Angels
 Oversee collection of fees for Our Lady of Angels weddings
 Order and maintain supplies
 Create and maintain a budget
 Maintain appropriate number of wedding coordinators
 Add and train as needed by the parish
 Maintain appropriate number of sponsor couples
 Add and train as needed by the parish
 Prepare couples for convalidation in compliance with Diocesian standards and needs of the couple

Catechetical Formation of our Catechists
• Create a vision and plan specifically designed for the ongoing formation of our catechists at Our Lady of Angels
• Work in collaboration with the Diocese of Dallas to remain in compliance with their program
• Oversee continuity of formation in the parish for all members across the lifespan

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
• Support the current coordinator of the RCIA process

Adult Faith Formation
• Work collaboratively with Faith Formation staff at all levels toward a unified catechetical approach
• Identify/schedule speakers to assist subgroups in developing appropriate programs and mechanisms to encourage participation
• Plan and implement a Parish Mission

Encourage opportunities for annual parish missions in consultation with the Pastor.

Small Faith Groups
• Develop and train small group leaders
• Recommend, order and distribute materials to groups
• Bible Study Groups
• Misc Study Groups
• Assist group leaders with appropriate enrichment selections
• Address needs/issues as requested by parishioners
• Marital enrichment series

St. Vincent de Paul
• Maintain relationship with service outlet
• Schedule quarterly collections
• Develop additional service opportunities for the parish through St. Vincent de Paul

Stand Alone presentations of relevant Catholic topics
• Offer information evenings addressing practical application of the Catholic Faith
• Develop spiritual enrichment opportunities based on parish need/requests

Women’s Retreat
• Parish representative for yearly diocesan women’s retreat

Administrative Create Budget, select secure and distribute all Adult Faith Formation resources.

Parish Library
• Selection of appropriate material including books, cd’s, DVDs and audio
• Catalogue for the purpose of use as well as maintaining a list of inventory
• Maintenance of relevant titles
• Work with volunteer to issue available Titles on website and catalogue in computerized system

• Attend staff and other meetings when appropriate
• Attends diocese meetings and other training/education events when appropriate for training and development at the discretion of the Pastor
• Provide appropriate write-ups and information for weekly bulletin and seasonal newsletter
• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and its mission.
• Practicing Roman Catholic
• Ability to set goals and work independently
• Bachelors Degree in related field
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with staff and volunteers
• Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to professionally represent Our Lady of Angels to parishioners
• Ability to work as a team player with staff, volunteer, and diocese personnel
• Ability to set priorities, work to goals and deadlines and manage multiple priorities

• Ministry-related work experience in a non-profit organization
