To help St. Rita Catholic Community realize our vision to Gather, Worship, Serve, and Renew, the Pastoral Care Coordinator (PCC) coordinates and manages pastoral care for members of St. Rita Catholic Community as well as those whom the Community serves. Serving families at various moments of pastoral need, the PCC is primarily responsible for connecting those families to the many liturgical and pastoral services St. Rita offers, caring for those families through their time of need, so that the Community might serve those in need both pastorally and professionally.
The essential duties of the PCC include:
o Pastoral Care Coordination
o Outreach Ministry Coordination
o Wedding Ceremonies Coordination
o Funeral Liturgies Coordination
o Annulment Intake and Coordination
These duties are described in detail on the attached job description. A successful must complete of the Parish Safe Environment process. He or she must be able to work a flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends. He or she must be willing to work hard to see that our members and those we serve receive the best possible pastoral care.
A successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree; a degree in ministry, social work, or related field would be considered an excellent asset. Further, previous experience in ministry or in related work is essential. If he or she also possesses a facility or fluency in Spanish, that too is favorable.
This position requires demonstrated competence in the following areas: interpersonal skills, pastoral care, oral and written communication, organization, time management, basic computer skills, confidentiality, and teamwork.
