This position reports to the Executive Director.

FLSA Classification: Exempt

We are in search of a very unique development director who is self-motivated and takes ownership of their position and sees their influence in every aspect for our nonprofit. This person will be inquisitive, think ahead of the curve and most importantly be highly promotable in order to play a greater role in helping a mission driven nonprofit thrive and grow.

Position description
• Work closely with the executive director to create and execute a development plan and initiatives for the organization.
• Plan with the executive director in the preparation of the organization’s annual budget can assist with the monthly cash flow projections.
• Manage the daily development activities of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North Texas.
• Plan, oversee, and monitor the fundraising revenue areas: special events, annual giving, endowment, direct mail, online campaigns, grants, major gifts, in-kind donations, and corporate sponsors.
• Coordinate the conferences with fundraising including tips, application for grants - advise as needed.
• Research and identify prospective donors including individuals, corporations, foundations, and work with the executive director with regard to donor cultivation and relations.
• Oversee the process of Salesforce. Ensure accurate recordkeeping for volunteers, donors, Vincentians, people we serve, and the integration to forms and other programs.
• Tenuously cultivate donors, potential donors, volunteers, collaborative partners and corporations.
• Oversee the branding in public relations strategy through marketing, social media, and communication. Critical to successful fundraising endeavors, this person must develop a strategy that expands on the target audience through community relations, speaking engagements, newsletters and charitable events.
• Assist in developing collaborative partnerships for both individual programs and overall for the organization.

Job Requirements

• Experience developing and implementing creative, higher revenue producing campaigns.
• Ability to sustain progress on many program channels simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, including written materials and personal interactions in both one on one and in group settings.
• Proven track record of meeting department/organizational goals.
• Ability to maintain donor confidentiality.
• Knowledge of fundraising computer software programs (Salesforce).
• Three-plus years of progressive experience and development/fundraising including grant writing and reporting.
• General office computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
• CFRE Preferred
