Catholic school students in the Diocese of Dallas begin heading back to the classroom on Wednesday, August 10th. That makes them among the first students in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to begin the 2016 – 2017 school year.

The first Catholic school opened its doors in the Diocese of Dallas in 1874. Today, there are 36 schools and an enrollment of nearly 15,000 students in the Dallas Catholic school system headed by Superintendent Dr. Matt Vereecke.
