The Catholic Campaign for Human Development or CCHD is the United States’ Council for Catholic Bishops domestic anti-poverty program. Its mission is to address the root causes of domestic poverty through education and self-help organizations. Beginning in 1969, CCHD has funded hundreds of groups through national and local grants.
After the collection each November, 75% is sent to the national offices to fund groups in the various diocese and 25% remains in the diocese to work fight poverty locally.
This year, the local grant application has been placed on the Diocesan website in order to spread the word of the grants as well as the work of CCHD in our community. Please visit the CCHD and Social Justice pages to learn more or to apply for the grant!
