Bishop Farrell Invitational Update

Publish date: Thursday, August 1, 2013

--

There’s great excitement as registration for the third annual Bishop Farrell Invitational Golf Tournament nears a capacity field of 240 golfers! All proceeds from the September 16th event will provide immediate tuition assistance for students in Catholic schools in the Diocese of Dallas. Even if you’re not a golfer, you can still be part of the record-setting event by becoming a sponsor. All you have to do is visit www.bishopfarrellgolf.org or call 214-379-2823.

This year’s tourney will be played at a new location, the prestigious TPC/Cottonwood Valley Courses at the Las Colinas Four Seasons Resort and Club in Irving.

Also new this year is the Farrell Cup Challenge, a competition that has foursomes from several parishes from throughout the Diocese of Dallas playing the Cottonwood Valley course to take home bragging rights and a trophy. While this year’s tourney promises a day of great golf and fun, the main benefit is raising money for students in need of tuition assistance.

A live auction at the post day-of-play reception will feature the following incredible auction items.

  1. Day of golf for three players, Bishop Farrell and PGA champion Lee Trevino
  2. Signed and framed piece containing three Masters Flags: One signed by Arnold Palmer, another signed by Jack Nicklaus and one with the hard-to- get Tiger Woods’ autograph
  3. Day at the NASCAR races at the Texas Motor Speedway

Bishop Farrell joins event co-chairs Vicky and Doug Lattner in inviting everyone to be part of this record-breaking tournament and help change lives through the gift of a Catholic education!
