Notice of Death of Reverend Denis Farkasfalvy, O.Cist.

 

Fr. Denis Farkasfalvy, O.Cist., theology professor of many priests and deacons in the Diocese, former Headmaster of Cistercian Preparatory School, and former Abbot of the Cistercian Abbey Our Lady of Dallas, passed away peacefully at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020.  After long illness, he finally succumbed to COVID-19. 

 

Because of the current circumstances, the services will not be open to the public but will livestreamed on the Cistercian Abbey YouTube channel. At a future date there will be a gathering for the Cistercian community to pray and remember Fr. Denis. The Rosary and Vigil Service will take place at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, May 24. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 25.  May he rest in peace.
