New Chief HR Officer for Diocese of Dallas

Bishop Edward Burns is pleased to announce that Laura Tornaquindici has been selected to serve as the new Chief Human Resources Officer for the Diocese of Dallas.

Bishop Edward Burns is pleased to announce that Laura Tornaquindici has been selected to serve as the new Chief Human Resources Officer for the Diocese of Dallas.

Tornaquindici has extensive experience as a director of Human Resources in the corporate world.   She has served in that capacity at Budget Rental Car Group, Peoples Energy, and as Senior Vice-President of Human Resources at Citigroup, Inc., Comerica Bank and most recently Beal Bank.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and Development at The New School in New York City and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from William Paterson University in New Jersey.

Bishop Burns said, “Human Resources is an extremely important position in any organization. I am extremely pleased to have someone of Laura’s caliber. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this post that will directly impact the dedicated, hardworking professionals who work for our local Church.  I look forward to having her join an already stellar leadership team.”

Ms. Tornaquindici says she very much looks forward to taking on her new role in the Diocese of Dallas. “I had been planning to make a change from corporate work for some time and was waiting for the right opportunity that allowed me to be part of an organization I believe in and that could benefit from my skills and experience. I am very excited that my career path has led me to the Diocese of Dallas and look forward to working with the employees who serve at Catholic churches, schools and the administrative offices in the Diocese.”

The new Chief HR Officer assumes her post effective June 3, 2019.
