Fall Festivals 2016

It's fall in North Texas, and the parishes in the Diocese of Dallas are ready to celebrate the changing leaves with activities and fun for the whole family. Here's a list of some of the many festivals happening in churches around the diocese!

 

Bishop Kevin J. Farrell named Prefect of the new Vatican Dicastery for Laity, the Family and Life

With a Moto Proprio, Pope Francis announced on Wednesday the establishment of a Dicastery for Laity, the Family and Life. The Prefect of the new Dicastery will be the Irish-born Bishop Kevin Joseph Farrell, currently serving as Bishop of Dallas.

The Joy of Love (Amoris Laetitia)

'Amoris Laetitia: On Love in the Family', released on April 8th, the new Apostolic Exhortation by Pope Francis, brings together the results of the two Synods on the Family in 2014 & 2015.


Bishop Farrell Offers Support and Congratulations as Pope Names Dallas Native as New Bishop of Lubbock Diocese

Pope Francis has named the pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church in Dallas, Reverend Monsignor Robert Coerver to serve as the new Bishop of Lubbock. The appointment was announced today in Washington, D.C. by the papal nuncio to the United States, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, followed by the announcement in the Diocese of Lubbock. [More]

Emergency Collection to Assist Louisiana Flood Victims - September 18

Every parish in the Diocese of Dallas will be participating in emergency collection to assist victims of the recent flooding in Louisiana on the weekend of September 18, 2016.
