Prayer for the Victims of the School Shooting in Uvalde

    Our prayers go out to all the families whose loved ones did not return home from school today because of the tragic shooting in Uvalde, TX. May the teachers and little ones killed today experience the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father and their families know His gentle love.

    Prayer for the Victims of the School Shooting in Uvalde

    O God, when your Son was lifted high on the Cross,
    his Mother stood close by and shared his suffering.

    Grant that your Church,
    participating with the Virgin Mary in the Passion of Christ,
    may share also in the sufferings of those mothers, fathers, family members and communities
    who mourn the innocents who have died in such senseless violence.

    Grant that, as they share in the suffering of Christ,
    they may also share in his consolation and his glory.

    Oh Dios, cuando tu Hijo fue levantado en lo alto en la Cruz,
    su Madre se mantuvo cerca de Él compartiendo su sufrimiento.

    Concede que tu Iglesia,
    participando con la Virgen María en la Pasión de Cristo,
    pueda también participar en los sufrimientos de aquellas madres, padres, familiares y comunidades
    que lloran la muerte de los inocentes en una violencia sin sentido.

    Concédeles que, al compartir el sufrimiento de Cristo,
    también ellos puedan participar de su consuelo y de su gloria.
