COVID-19 Protocols:

General Guidelines for Mass:

  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet (3 empty chairs) between individuals or family groups.
  • In collaboration with the University of Dallas, face masks are required in the Church of the Incarnation, for all persons over the age of 10.
  • You will be seated by an usher.  This helps us maximize the number of people we can have in the church. When you enter the church, please wait to be seated. 
  • Collection baskets will not be distributed during Mass.  The collection basket will be placed in the narthex.  Online giving is also available.  
  • The church will be sanitized after every Mass.  To facilitate this cleaning, please do not linger or visit inside the church.

Guidelines for Receiving Holy Communion:

  • Please follow the instructions of the ushers to come forward for Communion.
  • Bishop Burns strongly encourages receiving Communion in the hand.  Receiving in your hand is not sinful, and we are not trying to discourage your piety.  The goal is to keep the priest, other people, and yourself safe.
  • Please remove your face mask when you stand before coming forward for Communion.
  • Communion is distributed to one section of the church at a time. 
  • Please sanitize your hands before receiving Communion.  The ushers will offer you hand sanitizer as you leave your row.  If you have brought your own hand sanitizer, you may sanitize your hands with that.
  • Please keep six feet apart from each other in the Communion line and after Mass.
  • If you are not prepared to receive Communion, please do not come forward to receive a blessing, but remain in your place and continue to pray there.
  • Finally, please do not rush Communion.  Wait for each other to be six feet apart and for the hand sanitizer to dry on your hands.  This is a good opportunity to receive Communion reverently and patiently.

Reservations are required. Please visit our parish website to sign up for the Mass you plan to attend. Attendees without a reservation will not be admitted into Mass but will be ushered to an overflow area, where Mass will be viewed on a screen, complete with communion service.

- Our Children's Choir will sing the 4 PM Mass in the Church.

- Church doors will be opened 30 minutes before the start of Mass.
- Reservations are not required for any of our Masses. Attendance will be capped based on current guidelines (maximum of 225).
