CCHD Internship

What is the Internship?

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development, or CCHD, in Dallas offers an internship working in the Social Justice world of the Catholic Community and the Diocesan Offices.  The internship is offered during the school year (August to May). Through this internship, interns will come to better understanding Poverty USA and Catholic Social Thought.  They will promote the CCHD collection, assist groups with applications for the national and local grants, assist with the Multi-Media youth contest, and find unique ways to spread Catholic Social Teaching in our diocese.

Who Should Apply?

The CCHD internship is open to all practicing Catholics who have graduated high school and who have leadership abilities, community service experiences, and effective writing/communication skills.  Openness to the CCHD values of solidarity building, participation of the poor, and Catholic Social Teaching is essential.  All majors, undergraduate and graduate, are encouraged to apply.

Will There Be Training?

In order to better understand CCHD and its mission, intern applicants must be available to attend the required training during an all-expense paid orientation in Washington DC on at a date yet to be determined.
