202. Getting Started as a Catechist
Getting Started introduces new catechists to some basics that will help them take their first steps as catechists. They’ll learn how to set up their classroom space, how to create an appropriate social climate for catechesis, appropriate ways to use creative activities, and the basics of session planning.
This is an online class facilitated by an instructor from Sept. 11 to 17. Participants will have one week to complete the readings, watch the videos, answer the instructor's questions on the discussion board, post two replies to peers' comments, and complete any supplementary assignments. It is expected that participants will dedicate at least 5 hours to complete this course. Time may vary depending on the individual's pace.
