Liturgy and Worship

The Liturgy Office serves the Diocesan Bishop in his ministry of the formation and promulgation of liturgical practices. We regulate pastoral-liturgical action throughout the diocese and the enrichment of worship of all the faithful, embracing the diverse cultures in the areas of liturgy, music, art, architecture and pastoral practice. We coordinate the preparation of all major diocesan Episcopal functions, and encourage and support the development of qualified personnel in all aspects of liturgy. We strive to promote interaction with the Cathedral, departments of the Diocesan Chancery Office, parishes, and lay organizations, coordinating non-sacramental liturgies, special projects and events when requested. We serve as a resource to priests and parishes in providing materials, training programs, workshops, and other items to enrich the celebration of the church's liturgy and sacraments within the parishes of the dioceses.
